Description
Easy Meal Care Bags are delivered to families who are spending long days in the hospital between appointments and treatments. Families caring for a critically ill child face increased financial challenges and don't want to miss doctors making rounds. Easy Meal Care Bags are a helpful way to support the entire family with a variety of easy-to-prepare foods and snacks that give them more time together without the added stress of leaving the hospital bedside for food.
What's Needed To Complete
Items that go into an Easy Meal Care Bag: 2 x 12fl oz Gatorade or sports drinks. 2 x 6.75 fl oz boxes of shelf-stable milk. 2 single-serving oatmeal bowls or cereal boxes. 2 x 10+ oz pull-open top cans of chunky soups with protein (not condensed). 2 x 2oz single-serving microwavable mac & cheese bowls. 2 single-size bags of salty snacks/nut/chips. 4 energy/granola bars. 2 x 2+oz packs of cookies. 2 small packs/cups of applesauce/fruit/fruit leather. 1 pack of gum or mints. Additional Items Reusable shopping bag(s) or brown paper grocery bag(s). Cardstock or other source of paper for the tag(s). Markers, coloring pencils and/or craft items to decorate the tag(s), and if you choose, the brown paper grocery bag(s). Ribbon or string to tie the tag(s) to the bag(s).

Easy Meal Care Bags are one of the care bags most frequently requested by families. When a family receives an Easy Meal Care Bag they can spend less time on life's logistics. Your gift of an Easy Meal Care Bag makes it possible for a family to focus more on their sick child and one another.
Instructions
Think about how many bags you want to make. Are you going to buy the supplies? Are you going to ask others to donate the supplies? Are you going to fundraise and then buy the supplies? Instructions Shop, or collect from others, the items listed below and neatly arrange them in a large reusable shopping bag or brown paper grocery bag (decorated if you choose). Attach a handmade tag with pictures/artwork on one side and on the other side write your first name, age if under 18 years, and the words "Thinking of you" or 'Sending you care". Please do not use glitter or stickers. Thank you. Items that go into an Easy Meal Care Bag: 2 x 12fl oz Gatorade or sports drinks. 2 x 6.75 fl oz boxes of shelf-stable milk. 2 single-serving oatmeal bowls or cereal boxes. 2 x 10+ oz pull-open top cans of chunky soups with protein (not condensed). 2 x 2oz single-serving microwavable mac & cheese bowls. 2 single-size bags of salty snacks/nut/chips. 4 energy/granola bars. 2 x 2+oz packs of cookies. 2 small packs/cups of applesauce/fruit/fruit leather. 1 pack of gum or mints. Drop-off Locations: There With Care (main office), 2682 Middlefield Road, Suite H, Redwood City, CA 94063. Drop-off anytime between 9:00am and 2:00pm, Monday through Friday.
