Description

Hold a drive for household essentials and fill laundry baskets with things like: Trash bags, cleaning supplies, paper products, laundry detergent, shower curtain liners, scissors, broom and dust bin, small plastic cutting board and a can opener. Assemble these items into the basket and deliver to New Life Furniture Bank of MA for a tour and talk.

Special Requirements

This activity is appropriate for grammar school students through adults. It is a great group activity! Completed Housewarming baskets should be delivered at the Donation Center on a predetermined date/time.

How It Makes A Difference

Individuals and families coming out of unhousedness have little or nothing to get started in a new apartment. That first trip to the store to buy basic essentials can be very expensive. Clients really appreciate a plastic laundry basket filled with practical everyday living items.

Hold a drive for the essential household items.
