Description
Our mission at St. Vincent Meals on Wheels is to prepare and deliver nutritious meals to homebound older adults and other vulnerable residents across Los Angeles, regardless of age, illness, disability, race, religion or ability to pay. Help homebound older adults celebrate any special day by decorating lunch bags with creative messages to make their special day a little brighter. All you need are some white paper bags, some markers or colored pencils, and your kindness! Decorated bags will be used to make toiletry kits and birthday blessing bags throughout the year!

How It Makes A Difference
For some homebound older adults with no family close by, any special day can be very lonely. And being homebound is especially lonely right now -- older adults can™t have visitors because we need to socially distance to keep them safe. You can help bring a smile to a homebound older adults for any special occasion! Help decorate gift bags or lunch bags! What an easy and beautiful present!

For questions or to schedule a time to drop off your completed decorated gift bags, contact Daryl Twerdahl, Executive Director of Development, at dtwerdahl@stvincentmow.org. Decide how many gift bags you plan to make. You may want to consider doing this with a sports team, Scout troop, class, youth group or other friends/family. The more people, the more gift bags, and the more happy older adults on any special day! Pick up some white lunch bags in a standard size and decorate the outside with happy, colorful special day messages. Mail your decorated bags to: St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, 2303 Miramar Street, Los Angeles, CA 90057 We will assemble and deliver the bags to the older adults. .
