Children's Fairyland is a magical fantasy world located on the shores of Lake Merritt in Oakland, California where young children, create, imagine, play, and learn. Fairyland's mission is to provide a safe, family-centered environment that stimulates a young child's imagination, creativity, love of books and reading, and desire to learn.

Fairyland fulfills its mission by engaging more than 220,000 visitors annually. Young visitors are exposed to live theater, puppetry, storytelling, and an imagination-rich environment that encourages language acquisition, interest in books and reading, social skills development through group play, and motor skills development through climbing, sliding, and running.

For 70 years, Fairyland has been a magical place for children! Join us in our digital world at Fairyland's Magical Tree!

Create the Change® partners with nonprofit organizations that we believe offer age-appropriate service opportunities for youth and families. All of our partners sign a collaboration agreement promising to provide age-appropriate activities in a safe environment. 

 

Create the Change® does not run, host, or facilitate the service opportunities seen here, nor are we responsible in any way for the management (financial or otherwise) of the organizations we feature.
