Description
Our mission is to empower communities to leap into the future of clean energy.
Students will explore the relationship between water and energy (water-energy nexus) by building a model to see how water travels from a source to get to our homes, schools, and businesses.Â
Students will discover how water and energy are connected through the water-energy nexus, and why this relationship is essential to many of our ecosystems.
What's Needed To Complete
- ½ cup of water
- 2 medium bowls
- aluminum tin, a baking sheet, or an empty pizza box
- straws, any plastic tubing, or make your own:Â
- cut a 6-inch piece of foil and find a pencil or pen
- roll the foil around the pencil or pen until it is wrapped tightlyÂ
- cut both tips of the foil off and guide the pencil or pen out of the foil!Â
- small items: paper, legos, or figurines
- molding clay or play dough
- tape
- 1 turkey baster, eyedropper, or any cup that can easily pour the liquid (measuring cup, teapot, or anything else you can find!)
